4am Reflections

Photography is all about having the right equipment, at the right time, at the right place. All of these can be influenced by the photographer to varying degrees. This is a frame I have had in mind for many months prior to actually taking the shot. One evening in early June, I checked the weather forecast and it was exactly what I needed. So I set my alarm for 3am and ventured out into the City of London to create this. The beautiful, soft glowing, morning sun illuminates the historic London cathedral of St. Paul, and in turn is reflected in the modern glass front of the shopping centre opposite. The perfect illustration for old meets new.
